Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this.
My dad is a jazz musician, tenor sax, VERY talented man. Way back when he was learning to play in the 50s, he used to buy Bird and Thelonious and all the greats on vinyl and play what they were playing... not to copy their style, just working out how they did what they did. Anyway, it means he's got all this stuff on vinyl, and is gradually replacing it with CDs so he can play them in the car.
Problem is what can he do with a couple of hundred vintage vinyl jazz LPs? All in original sleeves, all in the sort of condition you would expect a musician's vinyl collection ie pre-loved, pretty good nick for records older than I am! They're part of his - youth I guess; when I tried to list them on eBay people weren't willing to pay more then pennies for them, and to be honest I'd rather keep them myself - and I don't even LIKE bebop!
I just have no idea what to do with them.....
