I want to see this - It's been awhile since they put a good war movie out.
Jake Gyllenhal (sp?) is a fantastic actor but he's yet to play a role like this one.

Saw it last night...

It was OK, nothing spectacular but very authentic. Jamie Fox made it worth watching. Now my wife knows why I am the way I am. Once a Marine, always a Marine. I walked out of the theater wanting to reinlist and kill me some, I haven't recited The Riflemans Creed in years....OOOH Freaking RAAH!

Bob yeah I heard that it was just OK. A couple of my favorite Corps movies were Full Metal Jacket (only film to come close to getting bootcamp right) and The Great Santini. The Duvall chacter reminded some much of a CO I once had. Crazy pilot but one of the best I ever flew with.

The only good, as well as accurate part of Full Metal Jacket, was the first part where they showed boot camp.

My wife will sometimes refer to me a Santini.
