Jacket mouton repairs and upgrades

Friends, I am creating this thread so that people can add their projects or questions regarding mouton collar repair or materials use in the process of replacing or repairing jacket collar related problems. Corduroy neck lining is also welcome. I will photograph a repair I did for a friend of mine on his G-1 type late 1940s jacket.

A new upgrade I did on a 50s Hercules, old mouton, nice golden brown colour and totally changed the look

I once did a replacement mouton also on a vintage G1 for a friend here in Madrid, don't have pics though unfortunately, but he was pleased with it

As a after note, the collar is now more substantial than the thin profile Hercules standard, more support and warmth for the neck, just wore it out in the park walking the dogs, warm afternoons but living near the mountains it cools down nights and early mornings, definite job well done on improvement fixing was a combination of good Aleenes leather glue and invisible stitch work with Guterman thread, bugger at times getting through that horsehide though haha

Nice, I saw a B15 once with cream mouton collar, outstanding with the green
