Your wish is my command.

Pigment dyed suit at the dock in Provincetown, MA this past weekend:

Note: the sleeves are longer; they are bunched up in the photo.

And the Victoria Falls jacket:

Now that's what I call service! Thanks! Another question for you;how light are these? Would you wear them in hot weather? High waisted/suspender buttons? I'll stop there...pushy Sefton.:p

Here's another one with Daisy Buchanan:

The sleeve length is more accurate in this one and the details show more. I like having a suit I can roll in a ball, shake out and wear. This fits the bill. The color is a little on the mustard side of khaki, but with the right shirt, it looks very British Colonial.

They are actually quite light. I wear both of them when the mercury is above 90 F. As for high-waisted and suspender buttons; you are dreaming! You could probably add the buttons and they would look good with braces, especially if you could find nice vintage ones.

Here is one last shot for color:

Hem-

Where is the suit in that picture? All I can make out is the oh so lovely Daisy Buchanan. Maybe it's just the lighting... or the surroundings... or possibly the person your standing next to. ;)

Looking good, Hemingway! I'm diggin' that panama- are they Indy proportions? The neckerchief is a nice touch, too. Quite the sartorialist.
Thank you, My Friend. You know, I never measured the Panama, but I bet it is close to an Indy in block height and brim width, though the styling and tear drop crown are different.

Art crafted that beauty from a Panama Bob body.

Thanks for your kind words.

Hemingway, it seems, owns the entire JP men's catalog, which allows him to always pull through with these demystifying pics. :p
lol Well, between Baggers and me!

Is that the striped one? Baggers got one and there are pics, I think, in the Victoria Falls Jacket thread.

I think we didn't like it.

Well, perhaps you didn't like it, but I haven't gotten as many compliments on a piece of clothing since I got my Adventurebilt. I wore it to the studio yesterday with a pair of Orvis natural linen blend travel pants, a white button down collared shirt, and a straw fedora similar to Hemingway's and got a "great jacket!" comment from some young gen X'er who passed me in the hall.

I meant to take a picture or two when I got home, but it was so hot yesterday (104?) that all I wanted to do was strip down to my underwear and sit under the ceiling fan after the drive home.

Off topic, but J. Peterman had a gladstone bag on sale for Father's Day and picked one up to take on vacation. Worked out very well. So, yeah, I guess between the two of us we have most of their catalogue. I just wish they'd ditch the sometimes inaccurate drawings. I bought their linen bush jacket on the strength of the sketch, and had to return it because I didn't feel it lived up to the artwork. I enclosed a note telling them as much.

Cheers!

And you have the Gladstone, Baggers? Is that the one with the tale of finding such a bag in the old garage? Pictures, please!

That be da one, scotrace. I'll see what I can I do in the next day or so about pictures. Hem, I'll also get some of the jacket up ASAP. I seem to recall that one of the complaints was that it seemed to have a rather straight line through the body. However, at least when I have it on and buttoned, it tucks in at the waist just a wee bit.

But even if it is too straight sided for some folk's tastes, it's still a very light and comfortable jacket to wear, just the job for this time of year. If one doesn't like the outline, there's always the tailor's shop for a quick nip and tuck.

Cheers!

Indeed. The Victoria Falls fits the same way. I don't expect it to fit like a custom-tailored garment; I just want to see it animated, so I can get an idea of whether I would like it.
Thanks!

Maybe those of us who have several of Mr. Peterman's offering should gather them up for a group photo so everyone can see what the stuff really looks like? I have several things now m'self.

Sounds like an idea for the Adventure on the Queen Mary!

There you go mentioning the QM Summit. Between this place and COW, If you guys don't stop, I'll just have to make a reservation and go (assuming I can get my wife's permission  ).

Come to think of it though, that would make for a great shot. Now if we could just get a discount for giving J. Peterman all this great free pub.

Oh, and just to try and keep this thread somewhat on topic, I checked the web site and they only have the jacket in size 38 and 48. However they still have all sizes in the trousers.

Cheers!
