Wow, you're all so inventive! I'm so snowed under with work and school right now that I've sworn off adding new projects for a time. (You ought to see the pile in my mending basket.) But it's so hard. I've got all sorts of ideas rolling around my head now... lol

i love decoupaged containers! i also love clever little lunch-box-style tins used as purses - except they can be really noisy.

i love using white or natural-looking vintage wicker purses for summer. but most of all i love my gold metal basket purse, even if it is anachronistic with most of my outfits.

A friend decoupage-d (that's a word, right?) a wooden jewelry box for me once using the original Tenniel illustrations from Alice In Wonderland. It turned out really cute, and she said it was easy to do.

You could always get a good copy of some vintage art you love and do that.

It's just narrowing down the options that's a killer. I thought about covering it with gingham fabric and adding ribbons to the handle, or painting it white and attaching fake cherries somehow. Or some of my own artwork...

Now I'm thinking of all the possibilities.... Copies of vintage pattern covers, copies fo family snapshots, scrapbooking papers, fashion picture from old magazines... It's endless!!


And ShooShooBaby I'm with you on the basket purses too.
When I was a little girl my church purse was a white patent leather one that was woven too look like wicker. I'm dying to have it back now. I've been looking through boxes of my stuff when I've been home, but no luck so far!!
