I think it is pretty common, I do not feel ready to head back to work today.
I want another day off.

Work can be pretty unreal, I want to spend more time in the Real.

I want to read more, and do long walks and spend more time talking to Intelligent people like every one here.

To the Real world and all those who inhabited it.
I want to return to it soon and often.

Now I must go into the dark world of the Unreal world to make a living.

I'm right there with you, PrettySquareGal! I can't seem to get work oriented at all. I'm daydreaming about all my upcoming projects, can't figure out what to do with myself, trying to get focused- and they moved all our offices about while we were on Vacation- so I get to get accostumed to being in the middle of the room instead of on the edges. Being an introvert by nature, just not having a wall around me makes me nervous. And there's a guy in the office behind me that I have a constant feeling that he's watching the back of my head! ACK! Well, I guess he knows I haunt the Fedora Lounge, now.

I just laughed out loud, because I'm the same way- I like the fringes whether it's in an office or classroom (I always sat in the back). I especially dislike anyone right behind me. I say you start writing things to creep him out! tee hee And in case he's reading:

So sorry about your office move. I do relish working from home alone, however a giant order came in this a.m. so I do need to get my act together ASAP!

As a true "Southern Gentleman" (although some may say "redneck" ), I will offer to come out and "instruct" this guy that it is not polite to stare at a lady. The golden era may have been more genteel in some places, but in the rural South 1930's style "justice" was a little bit different

And, should you need this guy's "education" in short order, my son (6' 4", ex-Army MP) is visiting in San Diego till tomorrow. I'm sure one call from dear ol' Dad and he would be glad to "take care of business" for you.

That was excellent, I really felt that way this morning.

I live in London, during the holiday i managed to slip an hour later to bed each night and to get up each morning from reading the forum. So this morning ended up essentially on New York time having to get up on GMT! Self imposed jet lag. Not fun!

This was the first day of work for me, after a long year-end/New Year weekend.
So, I do some grocery shopping before heading home, and while in the checkout line, I discover that I had forgotten to bring my grocery money wallet...I had just enough loose change with me to pay for my purchase
