There you are Doc! Just the person I wanted to aska question of. Can you off a no-earred evil monkey on a Friday the 13th safely? ;)

Regards,

J

I would say that any day is good for offing a no-eared evil monkey! You might want to pack the silver bullets, though, just in case. ;)

Sorry Hemingway.

I'm more klutzy on Friday the 13th then usual, but knock on wood it's not too bad. Of course I don't leave the house. But I'm weirdly superstitious anyway.

Black cats are only bad on this side of the pond. Go overseas and white cats are bad luck.

I own a huge honking thing that we call a cat. He thinks he's a dog (come knock on my dor. "Mrow mrow morw" is what you'll hear) slash fashion crit black cat. Dunno about the luck part of him tho.

this is my birthday and i always go somewhere on my birthday, usually to go shooting. even took an extra day off so i would have monday off too.

today i am supposed to be headed towards the coast to photograph two very old and picturesque cemeteries - it is raining and is supposed to rain the whole weekend.

maybe i'll head to vegas and go shooting there instead — googie-style architecture. really wanted to go camping near the cemteries though. sigh.

maybe stay home and clean house - naaaaaahhhh.

RSG, I hope you have a great birthday and a marvelous year, and years to come:)

I too didn't realize it was Friday the 13th. I am a bit superstitous. But, I think that instead of really believing in the 13th I just become more aware of the stranger things that happen to me, or go on around me. Occurances that could and have happened to me on any day just seem even more odd because I have something to associate them with. I think people expect strange or bad things to happen to them on this day. So, we tend to over analyze happenings. Sometimes, somewhat normal occurances that happen on any other given day are seen in a totally different light due to superstitions. I do however, have some superstitions. I didn't really realize how many until this thread got me thinking about them. If I see a penny that is tails side up, I not only don't touch it, I walk as far from it as possible. If I come across a penny that is head side up, I will pick it up and make a wish. I never walk under a ladder. I always make a wish before blowing out birthday candles. I like to break the wishbone. I had a lucky rabbits foot when I was a kid. If I find an eyelash on my face I put it between my forefinger and thumb, make a wish, and blow it away. And, sometimes I make a wish on the first star I see at night. Seeing three shooting stars in a row is supposed to be good luck.

I think your cat and mine might be related. My Miely-cat also thinks she is a dog, and runs to the door meowing when she hears the buzzer.
She also has 2 toy mice that she loves, and often carries one of them in her mouth. At night, when we are sleeping, she carries the mouse around while makeing a very loud and silly mrow noise. I think she thinks they are her kids, for she will hold them in between her paws and lick them clean. She also will tuck them into either a small box or a pair of shoes. It's so cute, she bathes them and then puts them to bed.
Your cat sure sounds cute and quirky too.

I read this and thought, what a great idea, I'll go to the range too.

Then I realized you meant with a camera. :D

Which is why I really don't fear anything, I'm always loaded for monkey. lol

Happy Birthday! Have a great weekend.

Does the cat ever put a stuffed monkey with no ears to bed as well? ;)

My contribution to the mystery of the day:
Went to the grocery and bought some things and put them in my carry bag. I get home and unpack the items. Spinich, spinich, house plant one loaf of bread....wait. I boutght two loaves of bread. I remember placing them in the cart, paying for them and putting them in my bag. yet I only have one when I returned home.

I have only had one bad Friday the 13th in my life, several years ago I worked in a salon and I was doing make-up demonstrations and I had lit a candle, I had to step away for a moment and some how a paper had fallen into the candle and when I came back the table was on fire.
