Vintage style jacket with odd buttons. Fully lined, ventless, no maker's or union tags. Looks to be custom made, heavy wool, working cuff buttons. Uber wide lapels make me think '70s.

What do you think, '70s does the '30s?

Can provide interior shots if needed.

edit: I just want to be sure it's '70s before I sell it.

'70s. It's not the width of the lapels, it's their belly.

Agreed, completely different from the lapels of the '30s jacket above. Thanks for the confirmation.

Yes, while vintage might have some of the machine stitching, it would almost surely not have it on the lapel. It would be hand stitched or inside stitched.

my vote:

I say '70's for several reasons:
1. the squ-oval pockets
2. the machined button holes
3.the drape/content blend of the fabric
4.if there are no "tags or markings" then it was fashioned at home or in a home-ec class for credit!
5 the lining flip the linging up check the seam's if there is "pinking" (like that cut made by a pinking shear then '30's home made. if it's "overlocked/serged" the fancy stiching on the seams then it's a toss up could be 30's could be '70's manufactured or homemade/school (overlock/sergers machines wern't/or barely hardly used in modern homes of the 70's!too expensive.)

Well that's my vote ('70's homemade) but I could be all full of beans too [huh]
