I am not too fussed about lenght or precision fit. I have all kind of fits in my wardrobe.
I appreciate your honesty Seb. I too think generally I prefer a longer jacket, probably longer than needed. Makes for a more versatile jacket. I'm happy there is some positive feedback with this one, but I do appreciate your thoughts just the same. I have a few others and I'm far from finished acquiring jackets so this one has a place for the time being.
When I got my first A-2 I wasn't sure about the length, and felt kind of paranoid about it. But this is only because I'm from a generation that had bad fashion sense in an era where everything had to be baggy.
After looking studiously at many photos of aircrew in original A-2s, I decided that my A-2 was fine, but all my other clothes weren't. And a good thing it was too, since I now care a lot more about the clothes I buy and wear.
Seb, he's already given it away, got it back, tried to sell it on, like it or not- this is Nick's jacket.
And you know you're out of touch with modernity when the first thing you ping into your new Netflix account is "The Hunters"...(it's not on there yet).
I've been here myself. If you're not happy you're usually stuck. Do I like the jacket? Actually I've seen much worse. Nick's a good guy.

you tuck in your t-shirt there and then pull it out until it is billowing around your waist... just my opinion but I think all jacket would look bad or baggy when worn over that way of tucking especially since your jacket has knit waistband. when your shirt is totally tucked in or totally untucked, then the jacket length won't be a problem.
There's been a few threads over the years, this one has some good insights and a few pics.

Big J. I posted that as well a few back. That's what I think as well.
