Is Aero, Aero?

Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but is the present day Aero in Scotland the same Aero that made the WWII jackets under contract to the US Gvt?

No - They have the rights to the name but the original company was based in Beacon NY (see pic). The current Aero Scotland is actually the Transatlantic Clothing Company.
