Wow at 295USD these babies aren't cheap...certainly not compared to Edwins, Heritage Lees or even premium Japanese stuff. They've definitely jumped in price from a couple of seasons ago. And 495 for top of the line bullet proof selvage denim is a bit much..IMHO.

I'm in the same frame of mind. Was excited until I saw the cost. For a little more, I will get a new Highwayman! Bt thy are nice. Just too much for me.

Buy some raw from Cone or somewhere and have a tailor make you a pair, or 5, for less. Wait, isn't that how Raleigh Denim got started?

Yes Iron Heart denim is expensive but IMHO it's like the difference between a mall jacket and an Aero jacket. As for Cone mills denim I have a pair of Levi's made from it which feel like pyjamas by comparison to 21oz Iron Hearts and in this country they are a similar price.

It's certainly nice to see Aero getting a chance to expand its business. Anything that allows these types of niche companies to survive sounds good to me.

Sounds crazy but for those of us buying from Aero, or others like it, directly this isn't all that big a deal. Many on this forum have grown to such a degree of specialized dedication that reasonably standard highwaymen just isn't rare enough. It's certainly special in the sense that more people are going to have a better jacket then anyone around but not in the sense of the truly fanatical. hah

While Aero is popular here, I think it's like wearing a Fortis or Ball or Sinn watch. Not a $20k timepiece, but I never see anyone outside of specialty forums with them. I think wearing any Aero jacket would prove the same. This is not the "real world" which is why we are here :)

Tadite, I agree with your last comment. Since being on this forum, and over time and dedication to searching out what I love, I've definitely become much more specialised, even picky. To me a Highwayman isn't the ducks nuts. It's a bit too plain. (oops, ducks for cover) While I wish I could zip back to that leather tailor in Milwaukie, 1932 or Los Angeles , it's not the real world anymore...goes without saying, but I can dream. Aero and others, like the specialist dedication of a John Chapman make that world come alive again...it's a bit like a second sunrise. Those guys are the ducks nuts.

What's wrong with pajamas? When I go the pajama route though I prefer these: http://tinyurl.com/25de9sw
