IRC channel for Fedora Lounge?

Would there be any interest here in having an Internet Relay Chat channel for the Lounge? It would be a nice way of getting to know others here more one-on-one in real time. I'm not surprised if no one knows what IRC is, though.

Well... you never know. A lot of people on the internet have no idea what IRC is. Maybe I should add a poll asking the question.

IRC always gives me some trouble. I was sitting writing a post on here and I was getting connection errors with IRC. My friend Rob was pusing for me to use it. I eventually gave up and just went with AIM.[huh]

IRC doesn't require a hella fast connection. I used to use it with little problem back when I had dialup.

I dig it. I'm already on it all day at work, and adding another channel won't hurt.

Same here. I use it for work, and another channel I don't talk in is no biggie.

I tried to manage IRC some years ago and just couldn´t figure it out. I don´t think it has changed too much in the past 2 years.

It hasn't, but I used to be an IRCop on a couple of networks and can help you figure it out if you need it.

It's not really all that hard, just getting used to it.

Great idea, MK is there a chance you could have something linked here.
It would be best if it were part of the Fedora Lounge so as to attract members from the FL and not just random people.
