I'm a SAHM to two boys, an occasional War of 1812 reenactor, occasional swing dancer, an avid fan of 1930's and 1940's movies and a collector of 1940's and 1950's sewing patterns. Have you seen the book "Blueprints of Fashion" by Wade Laboissonneire? It is subtitled "Home Sewing Fashions of the 1940s". I figure you would enjoy it or already have it.
When you have time, stop by the "Golden Era" section and tell us what your favorite movies, fashions etc. are from the 1940s under the "Best of the Best" thread.
