Interesting, but, er, idiosyncratic.
The author doesn't actually recommend any course of
action, though many are critiqued convincingly. The visual
emphasis on lizard/alligator coupled with the text on leather
was confusing, too.

I think it says leather dressing is OK as long as the leather is actually in use (i.e. not for restoration).
But, most of us have so many jackets, that I'm ready to believe that we don't need to do anything to them, ever --> it will take us a couple of lifetimes to wear them out :( . Actually, I just ralised that this idea might help me reduce my list of jackets. From 10 to 7, perhaps lol

Seems like the message is that provided you wear your jacket only in the dark, when the weather is less than 65 degrees, monitoring humidity constantly (going home if it gets too high or low), then your jacket will last for ever.

Does the same apply to the human body?
