ok, I'm a total n00b it seems:) , but what is the movie about? Is it good? if so, is it mainstream enough that I could go rent it at Blockbuster?

It's a classic. You should be able to rent it from almost any video rental store, be that a local one-store operation or one of the chains like Blockbuster and Hollywood Video. It has an all-star cast (Humphrey Bogart, Mary Astor, Sydney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre to name a few), it was written by Dashiell Hammett and it's considered one of the classic, if not THE classic, film noir. It's been in the top 20 American films since those lists began. If you want to know what the movie's about - you can always read the book. Or just rent the DVD and in less than 2 hours, you can make your own judgment.

I believe Maltese Falcon was even Sydney Greenstreet's first film in which he became known. After that film, I know he starred in a few more movies with Bogart, and became known as a voice actor for radio shows such as Nero Wolfe.

MK, did this last run sell out? Haven't seen any of yours on ebay and am wondering if any were kept in reserve.

Thanks,

I am not saying saying that I am doing a run, so don't get excited. I am just testing the waters so to speak.

IF I were doing another limited run.....and the dingus were $200 + shipping.....who would be in?

For those who showed up to the party late and are wondering what all the hub-bub is about....:

I'm fairly new here, but just saw this post. Have you done another run of these already, and might you be planning on one in the future?
Thanks

Hey MK, I'm a new member drawn in by google posts for Maltese Falcon reproductions. Looking the cite over it seems your the go to guy for an exact replica of the 1941 Maltese Falcon. How can I buy one and what is the height and weight of the statue. In addition can I see some pictures of it as well. Please let me know how to get the bird.

All the best

Let me just say I have been in the market for a fine Maltese Falcon replica of the 1941 original. Most look ridiculous in comparison to original. These include Falcons costing just above $ 200.00. All are far too light to be taken seriously as well. The couple that were spot on in the look and weight were priced much higher than $ 200. Way out of my comfort zone. So, if MK's Falcon contains all the attributes I have been reading about through you guys it would be really great if he can put them out again.
