Information request on the size for aeroleather jacket

Hi!
New on this site of am impassioned of true leather.
I have just received my first aero it is a highwayman FQHS brown. the order was size 42 “ with larges turnings 41 “and 1“ add into the sleeves/body lenght. I find that it is a little large on the level as of shoulders. I ordered a longshoreman FQHS black and I hesitate over the size I will like to take one 40 “but I make a turn of chest of 41 “because I would like that it is well adjusted with the shoulders. Can you help me to decide to me, all the amateurs of aeroleather jackets on this site are all of the specialists this is why I ask of the assistance.

You'll probably get this same exact recommendation from others:
Call Amanda or Will at Aero and discuss your concerns with them.
They are experts at figuring out your exact size based on what you tell them.
Just be honest with all measurements and tell them if you want to wear a sweater, t-shirt, etc
under the jacket.

Thanks so much Lenny for theses informations.
I had several times Amanda with which I discussed I did not ask to her whether that made a difference of size if I wanted to wear it with a sweater or not.
But is they jackets go adjusted not?
On the photographs on the site Picture trail (Aero USA) the longshoreman seems adjusted. I will take your advice and will give more information to Amanda about the way of wearing the Longshoreman
I am extremely content with my first Aeroleather. The highwayman is of an exceptional quality!!!!!
With very soon on the site.

I made a point of thanking you Dav, thanks to your splendid photographs of your Highwayman, I ordered the same model. I have patient being because I received it on June 30th after 17 weeks of waiting.
As you did, I have carried it at home in the house but for few days the weather is cold in France and I am the only one happy because I can wear with outsisde!!!!!
I have just ordered the Longshoreman model in FQHH of black color. as soon as I understand how to put photographs on the site I will show you my Highwayman with a lining
Blackwatch modern tartan.

You're not the only one Manu with this weather I'm happy to be able to wear my HB in the morning!

I was not sure which size (40 or 42) to take when I ordered my jacket I emailed Amanda about my concern and she asked me to take some measurements and advised me to take a 40, never been happier to follow her advice the jacket fit perfectly!

What size chest do you have?

I have been rethinking whether I should change my Barnstormer order for a size 36. Last I checked, I have a size 37" chest. I don't expect that to change significantly, but I have been putting on weight (not fat, fortunately). On the one hand, I would prefer a slightly large coat to a slightly small one. But on the other hand, in all the pictures of Barnstormers I have seen, it looks like the coat is just a little too big for the wearer (not horribly so, just a matter of personal preference). So I can't decide.

By the way, it is much too hot to even consider wearing a jacket here. This week, my car thermometer read 100 and 103 in the sun: extremely hot weather for Upstate NY. I eagerly anticipate the snow...

Here in France it's barely 22°C (and I live in the south) at this time of the year it's usually 34/35 °C

Amanda asked me those measurements : height, chest relaxed, chest expanded, waist and stomach.

I added the sleeve length and back length to these information to have a jacket adjusted to my body.

But to answer your question my chest relaxed is 40.5”
