Here is a straw that I got from Stutzmans Headwear. They manufacture Amish style hats in all kinds of shapes and sizes and type of straw.
This hat came with the thin black ribbon that is common on 'farmer' style straw hats. I have had it a while and got to thinking that with the tall crown that a wider ribbon might look good.
So I took the ribbon off an old wool 'Indy' hat that I had, and placed it on this straw.
Looks kinda of good I think... Makes for a neat 'adventure' looking summer straw that will nowhere break the bank.
I got this hat in less than a week at the cost of less than $ 25 shipped.
Stutzmans has no web presence, but they are great to deal with over the phone. If anyone is intrested, drop me a PM and I will give you the model # and the phone #. The sizes range from XS-XL. The XL fit my 7 12 head perfect.
The specs on my hat are--- 2 78 inch brim --- 5 14 front pinch -- 4 12 back crown. The side vent grommets give it a little more adventureous look!
