I'd noticed that too. The people that saw it with me didn't get that, but they hadn't know the story War of the Worlds. That surprised me. I would've thought most people would have read it or heard the rock and roll version that was done by Jeff Wayne, or at the very least learned in history class that people thought the radio show broadcast was actual news.

Oh yes... a virus made in BASIC to infect a technology they didn't understand and didn't know what kind of code it runs. Very plausible... not!
