OK, the Star Wars one is outrageously atrocious and highly entertaining.

But the first one? Yeah, the kid can't sing, and no, I wouldn't want to sit through that, clearly a voice that only a mother could love, but it sounds like a (very) little kid. Now, if that was an audition for American Idol by a 16 year old I'd call it awful- they should know better!

(It also brings back memories of when I was in a school play- The Wizard of Oz! I was the good witch.lol )

Sure, it wasn't high art, but it did have that 60's cool thing going for it, where anything goes and experimentation is king.

I'm sure the idea was better than the execution, but I admire the fact that anyone decided to spend money to make this thing.

Hey, I like trash culture as much as the next man, but Gainsbourg's appeal has always had me flummoxed, unlike lots of Euro beauties one must add, but seriously,you can't compare that to anything Sonny Bono or Lee Hazlewood did in the Swingin 60's, it's just embarassing, the French, and I have to say I've been there many times and love the joint, should NOT be allowed to make Pop music......extreme Wagnerian jazz, or brutal minimalist electronica, yes indeed, but pop....no way.
