In search of jacket

Where would one find this jacket? Or what style would this be considered? I seen this on a Yahoo auction site from Japan but cannot find this anywhere else. Any help would be appreciated. It says Toys McCoy Steve McQueen Dirt Track Jacket. But I cannot find it anywhere. I’m looking for the style to search for.

This jacket might be my favorite by LL.

Thank you all for the info. This is an awesome forum for such information. Would you also know if the black horse is of the tea core or is it dyed all through the hide? I know very little about Lewisleathers and I could not find any info on their website about that detail. Thanks.

Not 100% sure, I've never handled LL horse hide but from what I've read, it's not tea core & won't fade. People don't seem to think very highly of the type of horsehide they're using but I know that the cowhide is as good as ever and sheepskin looks absolutely the best.

Firstly, I think LL at present uses normal chrome tanned and if that's the case, core would be blueish grey even when it fades. Secondly, I think LL is dyed through or dyed rather thoroughly so it doesn't fade as easily as the Toys McCoy but even if dyed through it still will fade. Thirdly, the Japanese often cheated with their teacore using already dyed brown leather in stead of undyed tanned core. Lastly, I think LL has some veg tanned cowhide Mk2 made to order. You can see the brown core around the edge of the shoulder pad unlike the normal ones.

You sure that's the right link? That jacket isn't really all that similar at all.

IT's the sort of Belstaff equivalent, I think, but it's much 'busier' - what makes the Lerwis so classy is its simplicity, imo. Very true to the earliest Brit leathers.

The sheepskin looks nice, but it is on the fragile side by coimparison. I certainly wouldn'tg ride in it, put it that way.

AFAIK, Lewis don't use teacore - I don't think it's an especially popular look among their market (most Lewis buyers are in the revival scene, and seeking an 'of the era' look, rather than wanting a jacket that looks seventy years old (the latterbeing what inspireed the teacore fad). Both their horse and cow feel nice. Don't know if I'd want to go the upcharge for the horse, but both really nice hides. The sheepskin looks great, if you're prepared for it being that touch more fragile.
