Hello,
this is my first post and I want to introduce myself after I've read here occasionally. My name is Alexander, I finished an intense search for the "perfect" hats for me, now I'd like to share my encounters and experiences and get new informations about fedora hats.
I am no afficionado of the well-known hi-class brands such as Borsalino. I've learned that the hat itself counts and when it's made in a good way, it's the right one. I can tell what I experienced on my search for my hats. I was disappointed in Cologne (Flemming), overwhelmed in Ljubljana (Pajk) and very pleased by Tonak hats. I like panama and straw fedoras, too, but I don't collect them.
As a free handout for everyone to my beginning I can tell you with private mail where to buy an original and ancient Hückel 1799 fur felt hat, great shape but with french size 4 1/2 much too small for me, priced only 5 Euro without shipping. If it would fit I would have bought it.
