J.T. , Clearwater makes good quality hats. I have a cocked hat I got from them some years ago.

In the very INcorrect color of brown...

At least 90% of 18th century hats were black....but I don't like black.

What in tarnation is with all the western hat posts?

That's very funny. I suppose we could go to each thread and ask the members to go talk about watches, make up, shoes, suits, jackets or cars on web sites that specialize in them. Strangly enough, you found it interesting enough to post. [huh]

YES! Please post photos of the entire outfit.

I just remembered that I have a 50 cal. Triad Hawken black powder percussion rifle NIB in the livingroom closet.
I bought it in February 2005, put the box in the closet behind some overcoats, and completely forgot that it was there. :eusa_doh:

Now I have an excuse for more tomfoolery!

Looks great. I too prefer the brown hats for 18th Century wear.
What cockade are you sporting on your hat?

None. Cockades are military. I'm very un-military. I do have a turkey feather in it.

I just noticed how fat I look in that photo...
