I'm petitioning MGM and WB to release the Leila Hyams films in their catalog on DVD. I'd be VERY grateful if you guys would take a second to sign this petition (it only takes a second!!), and forward the link to as MANY people as you can! I REALLY appreciate it!!! Click the photo below to sign!
Coincidentally, Way Out West will be on TCM next month in June.
I'm managed to obtain these films of Leila's:
Dancing Mothers (1926)
Spite Marriage (1929)
The Bishop Murder Case (1930)
The Big House (1930)
The Flirting Widow (1930)
The Sins of the Children (1930)
Way Out West (1930)
The Big Broadcast (1932)
Red-Headed Woman (1932)
Freaks (1932)
Island of Lost Souls (1933)
Saturday's Millions (1933)
Affairs of a Gentleman (1934)
The Poor Rich (1934)
Yellow Dust (1936)
You have so many great movies on that list! I really like DANCING MOTHERS, THE BIG HOUSE, THE FLIRTING WIDOW, RED HEADED WOMAN, SPITE MARRIAGE, FREAKS, and of course WAY OUT WEST!! Three of these are on DVDs as parts of other sets. I haven't seen the others, but would certainly buy them if they were on DVD.
Yep! They're a bit difficult to track down, mainly due to their scarcity...but I'm getting them little by little I'll soon have "A Girl in Every Port", the film Leila did with Louise Brooks
