ID'ing an overcoat (Image intensive)

I hope I'm not committing a faux pas by making a request such as this is my first post.
I recently bought a wool overcoat on Ebay and hoped there might be someone here who could help me find out it's origins.
There doesn't seem to be a makers mark of any kind, there's just two labels stating the materials and washing instructions. To my inexperienced eye, it seems to be of good quality. The coat was described on ebay by the seller as a "Gentlemens fine wool tailored trenchcoat".

The ebay listing is here.
The pictures from the listing are below:

I thought something in the pictures, such as the sinusoidal stitching on the liner shown in the last two, might suggest the coats origin to someone more informed than I.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Looks like a nice coat at a good price.

You did not hint at the word, "vintage", so I guess the origins you ask for are
geographical, as much as anything.

English/European... seems to have a mixture of stylistic inspirations- some German.
As to age, as Dinerman said, or 1980s- maybe newer...
The presence of the "Woolmark" logo means 1964+ and the care label is totally modern.

It's all a little vague with no maker label.

Check the pockets, just in case there's another label.

Nice coat.

Unusual to see the full trenchcoat cut in a heavy tweed like this. We so associate it with rain shedding fabrics.

I'd think the shoulder capes would make it very warm (at least around the shoulders).

It seems to have barely been worn so I don't think it can be very old at all.
The thing that's perplexing me is the lack of makers label. The label with washing instructions also states the size (sorry, forgot to mention this earlier), to me this would suggest that it must be made by a large production company. The quality seems good, so it appears that there's a company making fairly large numbers of decent coats and not labeling them, either that, or I'm reading far too much into these details.

I've not had the chance to wear it much yet but it does seem very warm, should work nicely in the cooler months coming up.

Size 44R, eh? Ni... er....Hideous looking garment, with a totally moddrn vibe to it. you might as well wear as shellsuit. Send it to me immediately and I will dispose of it humanely.... :p

Seriously, though.... it's a very nice looking coat - good score. My limited experience would also suggest that it's a 70sish piece with a 30s/40s influence, as was the case with elements of mens fashion back then. Maybe even into the 80s.... I had (still have, eBay bound now) when I was much younger a black wool trenchcoat in a similarly vintage style but very definitely a 70s/80s manufacture. Something similar in style to this, actually, both in terms of labelling and overall cut. If memory serves correctly, the care label was in a similar place on the lining, which the brand label, Marks and Spencer, was in the back of the neck/collar and doubled as a hanger. Obviously such use tends to put a lot of strain on a label, which can over time then fall off.... maybe this is what's happened to yours?
