I hope I'm not giving away any secrets, but if I wore a 7 1/2 Hat size I would definately be glued to the Stetson Search in Ebay!!!! I just hope a resident of the lounge wins, then maybe they will share some pictures and make reports!!!

Interesting. I might just give it a whirl. They are big enough---or they could be. ;)

Regards to all,

P.S. I forgot to mention that I would share all the 6 7/8 that might be in there. :p

These lots caught my eye the other day. They deserve to command a nice price due to their provenance. My size too...

Tell me this: how difficult will it be for me to get a 7 3/8 up to a 7 1/2? I've read all the postings and excellent info regarding the methods, but I'm hoping they'll work in practice!!

Also - the only qualified hatter left in Ireland, Mr. Bill Coyle, retired last year. Yikes! I'm gunna have to reblock and clean them myself!

What you need is this:

I guess the grass is always greener and whatnot.

I would trade you but that is not possible. :p Don't complain. You can find a whole lot more than I can. ;)
FF, that hat stretcher would be fine if you knew it worked, had the cord and/or were sure how to rewire it if something happened. :p At $150 and probably going to end at over $200, I would prefer one with all the parts there and an assurance of good operation.
I picked mine up for $40 but I have to work with it and rewire part of it for it to be useful to me. Still a heck of a deal based on the price of that one. :p If it was me looking for one now, I would hold off and wait for the right one to show up with all the parts and assurance of heating. Until them something like one of these babies would do the trick:
