...I found this (too bloody late!) by entering "vintage fedora -eBay" in Google shopping FWIW.

I use fedora all the time on Esty an this one never showed up. If I had found it I would of PM'ed you.

Oh brother, that's a killer, and in my size too. The only solace is that the seller lists the inside circumference as 23.5", so maybe it shrank down to a size 7-1/2 and I don't have to dream about it. (OK, the seller probably just mis-measured, but I'm sticking with the shrinkage theory).

I don't believe sellers' measurements. They often don't match up with the stated sizes, and for a group of people prone to label felt hats as "100% wool," I don't trust them any farther than I can throw them.
