Hello all forum members,if you have any old WW2 era USAAF/USN/USMC unit patches that you are not sure of it's title/unit, feel free to send me a scan/s and I'll be happy to do my best to Id for you ! I do not chrage for this and enjoy doing it, I have over 25 years inot emblem research on Flying unit types and on many of the "Unofficial" lesser known types also.

Hope to hear from some members, happy colecting to all !

Welcome to the FL, Siggy. I imagine some of the guys into WWII stuff will be getting in touch with you. Also the guys at the Vintage Leather Flight Jackets forum probably have patches they would like an ID on.

u r great

siggy did a patch for an a-2 customer of mine who wanted authenticity...the guy was blown away with what he got, writing me an effusive letter about what siggy did...siggy many be too modest to mention but he's done replacement patches for many ww2 pilots whose jackets may have been lost, damaged or needed patch replacement...as well as for world class collectors who frame them under glass...i'd say he is among the preeminent few in the world who do this at the highest level, replicating actual techniques and materials of the day

nice to see you on the forum again siggy :D

Hey johnny johnny, yeah I stop in from time to time, haven't had much interest from the "lounge" members and am surprised seeing as they're Ww2 buffs, well maybe after awhile.
Thanks for the mention !!!!!

Always glad to help if I can, as to what I have on the 303rd Fighter Sqd,it was a US stateside replacement training unit under the 3rd AAF and was assigned to the 337th Fighter Group.
They would not have been in combat but the emblem is still a VERY nice score and I would think somewhat rare too ! It is the only WW2 era emblem I've seen from this Group, the other Squadrons with this group were, 98th,304th,440th and the 460th.
Hope this fills in some gaps for you !
