how old? opinions!

got this recently for $20 with no buttons, which made me think military origin because why else remove em?
anyway luckily i have a few buttons up my sleeve…:

Goatskin, early 60's common choir-cooat design of European, German most likely, origin. Not Military.

The lining is exactly the same as what we used to call 'coastwatcher coats' that were ankle length leather issued to soldiers on winter submarine lookouts on the australian coastline in WW2..very common in the 70's, never see em now
