How often do you wear a hat? My own collection still being rather limited, I don't wear one every day. I would say that I wear mine on average four days a week, give or take one extra day, perhaps. The deal is, as my collection grows, I'll wear 'em more often, to the point that there may be nearly one for every day of the week. For now, I don't really feel like wearing the same two or three hats every single day, I feel that I don't have the variety to justify that yet. How about the rest of you?

Our college campus has long stretches of open ground where there is no reasonable shade, and a lot of the time I'm walking towards the sun at a time of day where it is at a low angle.

Needless to say, my wide-brimmed lids get a ton of head time, especially now that the daily temperature here is starting to descend.

On the days of the week I'm in the hills hiking, I always make it a point to bring a hat, either my Akubra, or straw hat. This is of course, first and foremost for protection from the sun, but it looks good for that kind of thing too. When it comes to college on the other hand, I'm seen wearing a hat about as often as I go hatless, which usually consists of me wearing sunglasses (or not), and a parted or slicked back hairstyle. Oddly, I have never tried wearing sunglasses and a hat. I was thinking of trying to avoid the potential "Blues Brothers" comments, but I have sometimes got "Indiana Jones" or "cowboy" too, hmm... Anybody else have this tendency?

I've worn a hat for most days in my adult life. Not so much as a teen, though. Of course, I've only been wearing fedoras for short time. But usually every time I leave the house I grab a hat.

Not always a "fedora" but since about 1959 I have NOT gone hatless. Mabe a ball cap, mabe a tweed cap, western and fedoras all in the mix. Was a break for about 18 mo's when I went hatless back in 69/70 and wore a steel lid daily, but except for that, there's been a hat on my head when I go outside almost daily :)

I've gone out the door without a hat three times in the last three and a bit years. All of those occasions dressed as a zombie, with full head makeup. Oh... and twice with devil horns.

Everyday. I wear my fedora to work and keep 2 cloth caps at the office to wear while I'm out working in the field.

I almost always wear a hat - 99% of the time. There've been three times since I got the Art Fawcett hat that I haven't worn one, and the first time was jokingly to remind everyone that I'm not bald, the second time was because the bartender lady told me the bartender lady that was on the first time loved my hair and to not wear it one day for her too, and the third time I was going to a place strong of cigarette smoke, and I don't want the scent to remain.

If I'm out, there's a 99% chance I'm wearing a hat. That 1% is when I'm only stepping out for a minute, like checking the mailbox.

Haven't started wearing them inside the house... yet.

I went out of the house one day last summer to get the mail from the mailbox which is less than 50 feet from my front door. I wasn't wearing a hat. I met a neighbour on the street and the first thing he said is "Hey,,no hat?!". So I guess that makes me 99% as well.

In the cooler months, I wear a fedora of some kind any time I'm heading out the door. In the summer I only have one hat and it's an Akubra Capricorn. Probably wear it about 80-90% in those hot months.

I have a little collection, but even so, fix and drive my cars, ride with dogs, working and just passing time wearing a hat, straw and fur felt, different brands, every one to each time. My favourite are Borsas and Stetson fedoras to walk well suited.
