Borsalino felt emits pheromones that render ladies helpless. Not safe to wear with a wife or girlfriend in public.Had a young lady today at the fireworks outlet store tell me that she liked my hat. I was wearing one of my Borsos. I turned around towards my wife and smile. I think she's becoming a believer[emoji1]

Oh, no, no, no my friend. I learned to always say, "yes, mom, you are 150% correct"Wore the 20/30’s Mallory Bowler to Christmas Eve at the in-laws. I thought my wife’s parents would enjoy it being they are in their late 80’s. Her cantankerous old Mom argued with me forever that it was just a ‘reproduction’ hat. No matter how much I tried explaining the markings, Union Label, etc, she would have none of it. Oh well, her Dad enjoyed it at least.

That is so true, in the early years of my marriage I corrected my mother-in-law about some petty fact, later, my missus happens to mention that I'm terrified of spiders. Mother kept this useful snippet to herself, so that on another occasion she found a bloody great big hairy spider, big as your hand, and chased me with it. I had the sense to keep quiet from then on, even if I knew that she wasn't correct.Oh, no, no, no my friend. I learned to always say, "yes, mom, you are 150% correct"
Many times on The Lounge you will read the sensible advice, wear the hat, not the other way round. I saw something similar in one of those magazines that you pick up when you are bored, like when you have a long wait in an airport lounge. It was called Men's Best Guide and this is how it decsribed hat wearing. http://www.mensbestguide.com/2016/12/08/5-things-woman-love-see-man-wearing/Borsalino felt emits pheromones that render ladies helpless. Columbus had once thought about getting a professional football team there but eventually decided against it because Cleveland and Cincinnati would want professional football teams too.Yes, it's the weather more than anything. Many memories of snow, wind, and overcast skies in the winter. Trudging to an 8AM class, barely awake, in the snow...
But again, a great town. More ethnic enclaves than Columbus (I lived in a dorm just outside Little Italy when at school). I lived in Cleveland Heights for a while. Worked at a deli on Coventry Rd. Loved every minute of it.
It's really a great town and the people are good people.
Again GHT you speak truth with added class that only a man who lives it can. I do so enjoy your witty wisdom of life and adventure that makes this Lounge all the better each post. That is so true, in the early years of my marriage I corrected my mother-in-law about some petty fact, later, my missus happens to mention that I'm terrified of spiders. HATS WARNING: This is tricky guys. There are only 2 levels in wearing hats. You Nailed It or Complete Dork. How can you tell? Sometimes you can’t read body language or facial expressions so here are few comments to listen for. When you look great it sounds like “I love your hat! You’re a hat guy! When you look ridiculous you will get more questions than comments. “When did you start wearing hats?” When did you buy that? Was that on sale?
It certainly is all about confidence, if you put your hat on with the same aplomb as you do with the rest of your outfit, you will undoubtedly get complimented.
My mother in law was the best there was. She unfortunately passed unexpectedly and I have missed her ever since.Again GHT you speak truth with added class that only a man who lives it can. I do so enjoy your witty wisdom of life and adventure that makes this Lounge all the better each post.
“Was it on sale?”....burn, cringe, busted!! It hurt just to read that after a good chuckle.
Mother-in-laws, or ex ones, i can only speak divinely of mine. I was blessed. She was probably the finest most kind, caring, loving person i ever met. Truly an angel on this earth. I never heard one unkind word ever to anyone from her and she raised 5 girls and 2 boys. I miss her, her daughter, not so much! Lol
Happy New Year GHT et al. And thank you.
Be well. Bowen

I had to read it twice[emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]Now that's funny, I don't care who you are......
Such a generous compliment, Happy New Year to you too. Life has been so busy the last couple of days I haven't had the time to respond until now. It's a shame that your ex couldn't be more like her mother, divorce is something that has rarely touched my family, so I don't really know the pain that goes with it.Again GHT you speak truth with added class that only a man who lives it can.
