I hope you're all not giving up/giving in just yet!:p

I am going to see some friends today who I haven't seen since Halloween. I am wearing some old jeans I couldn't even button back then (I know because I tried them on and was mad that I couldn't wear them that night).

I haven't started excercising in earnest yet this year but am doing pretty good on the diet and nutritional front. Only lost a few pounds so far but even that makes a big difference.....

Half and half

My two main bugaboos are exercise and organizing - I have made huge strides in organizing the Room of Shame (and the rest of the house), but I am still not exercising. But now that the Great Deluge is over, I have no more excuses.
I would like to be a size or two smaller by the Ahwahnee in March (see events) so I had better get with it!

Not bad. I've changed a few of them, but i'm doing pretty well with them. :)

I'm learning Photoshop faster than I'd expected. I've been picking up Digital Photo magazine (a UK publication), and every issue includes a CD ROM filled with Photoshop (and Photoshop Elements) exercises. All these years of fiddling with the program and I'm just now learning how easy it really is.

I'll have my digital SLR after my tax refund comes in. I went to have them done this morning. Unfortunately, I forgot my W2s! My CPA didn't make me reschedule. He just told me to mail them to him and he'd get on them as soon as they arrived, and then he'd send me an invoice. (They're already in the mail!) I'll know how much I get back in about a week, and shortly thereafter I'll have my camera. :)

Next will be studio lights. When I'm fairly comfortable with Photoshop, I'll start submitting my work to photo stock houses.

I'm also doing a good job of complaining less. lol

Good point - I think if you can avoid just dropping the diet/nutrition/positive outlook component completely till then, the excercise will be easier once the weather warms up.

Sounds like many of us are doing okay. One day at a time!

quite a turnaround!!!

Now Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year and my birthday are out of the way, our fridge has gone from being stocked with English chocolate, Vodka, tequila, wine and Gin to having FRESH fruit and vegetables, low fat yoghurts, fat free tofu, protein drinks and fat metabolizers in!!!!

Great! After three weeks doing Body For Life without skipping many workouts and without eating Taco Bell except on free days, I've lost 1.5 inches off my waist and 1 inch off my hips. :)

Going rather well.
I have begun smoking.
Also enforcing my "drink more!" resolution.

Going rather well, actually.

I have gained 500g since the beginning of the month! Despite the smoking!
Wonderful.

You can buy some rather good wines in a box.

I resolved to watch more of the movies I've been recording and stockpiling and so far it's going great! I'm about to watch Finishing School (1934) with Ginger Rogers in a cute art deco school "uniform." lol

Although I actually started about a month prior my New Year resolution was to learn to play the melodeon. I am now able to just about pick out one tune ...and usually get it right around the second or third attemptlol

we finally got a new dvd player (our old one blew - it wouldn't play various discs for no apparent reason). I started going through all our dvds in somewhat organized fashion, and now I have done a full-scale chronological viewing (incorporating Discs and VHS tapes - of which I have a bazillion)....am currently at 1976, though I am awaiting an order of discs from Amazon including some old Bogart films.

Exhausting but fun!
