Thanks for the good words guys!

A great looking jacket, looks to have aged naturally :)
Curious about the photgraphy though. Were all photo's taken in the same time span as in some the leather looks blue and others it appears black, I also notice that the 'blue' appearance is when the sun is not as bright and the grass a more subdued shade of green.
Cheers, John.
Yes they were but I moved the jacket 2 feet away to be more in the shade so the black became blue for some reason.

I have noticed that when given some time and wear, Schott HH looks exactly like vintage HH jackets. Much more so than most other jackets we talk about here. That CR above is aging exactly like TMitchell's police jacket. Here's another example of Schott HH that looks just right. This jacket isn't even a year old.

That jacket aged nicely.
How old is the jacket??
2 and a half year of use I think shared between 2 owners but the jacket was produced around 2012.
Few shots of Schott HH. Well yeah my jacket hasn't been made from the regular Schott horse and I took these 'cause I wanted to do some photo comparison with a certain other hide, but I figured I'd share as it really is a nice looking leather.

Splandid! How much wear time so far? What do you mean by not regular schott HH? Horween?

Oh, I barely wore it at all. The jacket arrived with the summer so all I can do is look at it. I wore it probably less than 10 times. Still a long way to go.

Gail tells me it's a different type of Italian HH but I don't know any details. It's a lot smoother (though grain is popping up like crazy as I wear it) and completely even all around. Heavier than the regular Schott HH. Not Horween but it's kinda feels similar. Very sturdy jacket, noticeably more so than the 618. Almost Vanson grade (tho nothing is Vanson grade except Vanson XD ).

Heavier?:eek:The regular stuff is good enough for me. ;) i Really like the cut of the jacket and the liner. I look foward to see how it ages.
vanson is a class of it's own, I own one and possibly buy an other. An Enfield or a 689H might be in my futur but prices soared since the last time I bought a jacket... I need to gather info on both jacket I guess.

Crazy but the 141 in naked cow is tempting me ever since I saw one on a wax statue at madam Tussaud.

There's been some talk lately about the best leather in the world but seriously, if the best means literally that, it's a title that belongs to Vanson. No debate there. I'm sure that any motorcyclist will agree. With time, they even win in the looks department.

But will the same aged jacket still fit you in 25 - 30 years from now when it should really have the perfect aged broken in look? Thats the problem I always have with leather jackets, they fit fine when your still young, but what about 20 years later? by that time you might need a different size, since most people seem to buy them to fit snug.

Every leather jacket Ive even owned no longer fits me.

Meh. That's OK but nothing comes close to my eyes as properly worn in Horween CXL FQHH. As always it's a case of each to their own, but to my eyes, really, properly worn and abused CXL FQHH would eat that for breakfast in the looks department. But what we like is always subjective isn't it ;)
