I just was on the BBC site and saw what's been happening in the Queensland area down there. Hope none of our Forum members down there are washed out. If you can, let us know how it is going !

Well, my mum reckons she is about to develop webbed feet. But she lives on one of the highest points in Brisbane, so she is OK. Might not be able to get to work though...

Wow, last time I looked Australia was in the middle of a scorching drought. Hope everybody pulls through this.

The Gascoyne ( in WA) has been flooded, while the rain did not even get close to home we are getting very hot weather which means that the Fire Brigade are basically on alert because fire bugs decide that they have nothing better to do. At the start of the month they lit a nice big one that was not far from and they had to close the rail line and get all the commuters home via bus. Just hope that they don't set another fire because we are having days of 33,35,38 and 40.
