Hoosier

My Dad recently gave my wife and I the family Hoosier. He had had it stripped of the multiple layers of paint and had just not gotten around to refinishing it. Some of the original cream interior paint remains. The hoosier tag remains though the lettering went when the paint was removed. The aluminum tag appears have the shape a nail placement of the Hoosier brand.
Does anyone have any advice for repainting this?

Nice looking. I will have to get some pics up of mine. Wished I had some before pictures. It was my grandmothers and when I got it it was a lovely pepto-bismal pink. I primed it and painted it white. Then let the hardware sit in some paint remover and sprayed them out with some Krylon hammered pewter spray paint.
