Hooch Hauler vs Bootlegger STF

Is there anyone who has tried both of these models? Are there any difference in sizing? I remember someone saying that Bootlegger STF has wider sleeves, but I couldn’t find the post any more.

My usual measurements on a similar cross-zip: 20.75"–21" P2P, 18" shoulders, 18-19" waist. Would either HH or Bootlegger STF work for me in the size 38? As for the leather, I’m considering CXL FQHH.

I have never tried the STF version but i own two regular CXL Bootleggers (regular body but STF sleeves which are tighter than regular sleeves).

To me the regular bootlegger is a size down jacket, i wear a size 42 for 95% of my jackets but wear a size 40 in bootlegger with room to spare. (24.5" pit to pit on a size 40!)

From what i have seen on TFL the measurements of the TFL are smaller, and i would need a 42 in that model.

No experience of the HH directly. The regular Bootlegger is on the same basic pattern as the 50s halfbelt, just with a cross-zip front, so roomier in the chest than the pre-war style designs, though neater on the hips than a Highwayman. Somewhere between the 30s HB and a Highwayman overall. Based on measurement's I've seen, the HH is definitely slimmer.

Don’t have the HH, but I do have the STF Bootlegger. It’s still cut pretty roomy, and the armholes are not overly high, so still good for layering. As for sizing, it’s one size up from Aero‘s 30s patterns and two sizes up from the 50s. That makes it the same size as the premier range.

I happen to have both
Bootlegger STF in cherry CXLHH and Hooch Hauler in natural CXLHH, in size 36. They are almost the same size:
Shoulder 43cm
Chest 49cm
Arm length 61cm
Length 60cm
Hem: 46cm in Bootlegger vs 45cm in Hooch Hauler

Yes I can feel the arm hole is larger in the Bootlegger, 25cm, vs 23cm in the Hooch Hauler.
