homemade soap recipies

Does anyone here happen to have a recipie to make homemade shaving soap? I would like to be able to use some of my Old Spice cologne instead of going out & buying essential oils. I was thinking of the cold process, but I am not sure that that would work for shaving soap.

Thanx!!! Is coconut, palm, & castor oil something that I can buy at the local grocer?

The Coconut and Castor you should be able to get at health food stores. Coconut is sometimes sold in the health/organic section of grocery stores, and the Castor will be in the body care section of health food stores.

Palm is much harder to come by. Internet is the only way I know to get true palm, but a lot of soap makers use Crisco brand shortening because it uses Palm oil for it's main oil.

As PrairieSunrise mentioned, you can substitute Crisco, or even pure vegetable oil, which is typically 100% soy.
