I have posted pics of my one and only Borsalino Homburg before. But i really never thought about posting it's crown height and brim width.
Until now.
Seems that the crown height is where it should be at 4" or thereabouts.
But the brim width is quite a bit narrower than i thought it should be.
The rolled brim on this homburg is only 1-1/2" when flat (in the front and back) and a wee bit more on the sides.
I wondered why it just didn't look right on my head.
The other homburgs i see for sale are around 2-1/4" to 2-3/8" on the brim width.
The actual size of the hat is on the inside tag at 4-1/2 (the french sizing for 7).It is labeled inside as coming from Belgium
Hence the french size.
Were the brims this narrow years ago??Could this be a childs hat??
Since i'm not sure how old it is,that could be a determining factor.
Ideas?Thoughts??
