I do have a question on bias-cut dresses, though: I hadn't heard this until recently, but apparently the hem will go uneven if the dress has been hanging too long. I've had this dress since January of 2005, and sure enough, the hem is a little uneven now. :( Is there anyway to correct this?

You can't stop bias fabric from stretching, so the only solution is to re-hem it. It will probably continue to grow even after it gets a new hem. If it's only a little uneven, does it really need to be fixed? Sounds very nice for a holiday party, btw. :)

Hmm, I don't think I want to attempt re-hemming. I'll just deal with the slight unevenness.

Now that I've noticed it, I probably should take it off the hanger and fold it, though, shouldn't I?

Thanks for your help, Snookie. I know this was off-topic!

Now traditions here are a weird mish-mash of stuff.

We do pepakakor sometime int he first couple of days after my son gets out of school. Kourbides sometime a few days later. Traditional breads, cookies and candies about a week before. We buy a birthdy cake to the orthodox service, eat that all day, come home, then go to midnight mass with the other stuff on Xmas eve.

We never went anywhere, since my husband works on Xmas, we do the presents early before he leaves for work, drive him in, and my son and I do breakfast (always shared) before I do all the cooking for the day. Sometime during this mess, I get makeup on, get the boy cleaned, pick the hubby up and come home to finish cooking.

Traditionally I sleep all day the next day.

My sister's birthday is the christmas eve, so there's usually a fondue dinner, then we do midnight mass for my mother, only she and my brother are catholic, but it means a lot to her, then we end up at home, usually with my brother and sister wanting to open a present or two, and I'm usually so tired I shower and sleep until it's ten a.m. and they can't wait for me anymorelol

I just can't do the late thing like I used to.lol
