how to find the right dimensions when re-ordering?

Hi all, jacket is sold, I am ready to re-order the Highwayman. It has to be right this time. I need to find the right dimensions relative to my torso, without loosing the original Highwayman-cut (only chest and waist size apparently do not work). Could you please help with your experiences.

My 1st Highwayman was also way too big... I ended up sending the jacket back for one closest to my actual chest / shoulder / sleeve/ body length measurements as they could come... ;)

In my case, I do not like much more than 4 inches of play in the actual chest circumference of the jacket. Aero ended up sending me a tagged 42 regular (I have a 44 inch chest)... If I were you, I would tell them that you want no more than 4 inches over your actual measured chest size, your sleeve length, your shoulder to shoulder to shoulder measurement, and body length.. ;) I am much happier with the 2nd Highwayman jacket Aero made for me compared to the first...

Highwayman – how to decide proper dimensions/play – help!!!

Hi Technonut and all members, thanks for the helpful replies! How much added length/play is to be involved in the right fit Higwayman – that is exactly the question now for me.

It seems Aero want ME to design the Highwayman for myself. They admit the jacket they made for me is too big (they said it was a "regular 40'). I asked them to make a regular 38 instead. Strangely enough, they answered they had NO regular sizes (I do not understand what their tagged sizes are for then), so I am the one to decide where and in what extent my Highwayman jacket is to be altered.

Please help me all Highwayman owners - I do not want to end up with the wrong decisions and with a strange cut. I do not know how much play to incorporate in order NOT to loose the original Highwayman cut. These are the measures of the jacket I first received and the relevant pics:

ACTUAL armpit to armpit (total): 48.5-49 inches (my chest size: 40.5 inches)
ACTUAL waist circumference at stomach (straps loosened): 45 inches (my size: 36 inches at belly)
ACTUAL length without collar: 26 inches (my height: 5 foot 8)
ACTUAL sleeve length: 26,5 inches (usually I have 23 inch sleeves in jackets)

Thanks, thanks, thanks for all insights!

Hi,by the looks of your jacket and the measurments I would think pit to pit total 44", waist total 40", sleave total 25.5", zipper length 22-22.5",and back from lower collar 25" hope this helps.I have six Aero`s all custom, and the first one was a learning curve.;)
