etsy have a few girls that handmake 40s style swing pants.
Most repro slacks i noticed have the buttons on the side. i really like the 'hollywood' styles-man style look but with the side zip

Loving my Freddies shorts - they're getting lots of wear now England is warming up a little! Never did get into swing trousers, but might go for some Freddies jeans at some point in the future. :)

I recently got the Spiegel catalog and they have a couple of pairs of very cute high waisted pants. Even better, and I saw these from another store but I can't remember which one now, they have built in tummy and tooshy control. So, no need for Spanx, yippeee. They actually are cute, although they are a pull on pant, and I wish they had the cute double row of buttons at the front or buttons up the side to make them look a bit vintage.

The catalog for spring actually had a few very lovely items. Some kind of vintagey, others not at all, yet it seems that pant waists are getting higher and according to Spiegel and a few other fashion mags lovely flowy feminine dresses are hot this season. I don't dress vintage everyday, especially in the summer, it's just too darn hot. But, I try to find clothes that are classically styled. I have a lovely white linen suit that I got a couple of years ago from JCrew with high waisted pants and a peplum jacket that I pair with a red or blue blouse and red and blue accessories. Too bad it's a really tiny size, and I don't think I can even get my foot into the pants at this time!:( But, my point is, it seems that vintage looking items are in for this season, so for those of you who don't dress vintage everyday but like a classically tailored look, you might just find some really lovely items at places like Spiegel and Newport News.

Ty Ty Ty!!!!!! I've been looking for pants for HOURS just got three pair for 30 dollars!!!

I own two pairs of high waisted Levi's. The first is a high waisted dark wash denim with a skinny leg. They're definitely more modern looking but look vintage-esque rolled up at the cuff with a shirt tied at the waist. I also own a vintage wide-legged pair that remind me of the time when women wore men's jeans. It's a pretty cute look; I love to pair it with a girly top and a head scarf.
