Heritage Shops in Amsterdam ?

I’m heading to Amsterdam in a few days, do you have knowledge of some places I could find some of our favorite stuff, like.... leather jackets, and things like that?

Can't help with jacket stores, but the Red Wing Amsterdam store is pretty cool and has a wide selection of the Red Wing Heritage range.

If you are into quality "Coffe" check out Barney's coffeeshop, it is my personal favourite...

And if you have time for culture, the Van Gogh museum is very good.
The Rijksmuseum is also really worth seeing, but is so huge you could spend all day in there...
The Banski exhibition at the Moco Museum is also great!

I've not been to Amsterdam for a few years, but Tenue de Nimes and the Red Wing Store are the main places I can think of.

Denham Denim have a few flagship stores. One is just off PC Hooftstraat, the other is on one of the canals near the Jordaan and the Red Wing store.

If you're into motorcycles, Biker Outfit, which is up in Noord Amsterdam is a good place for gear. But it's more technical than heritage.

Fjallraven have a major brand store, which is great for the heritage end of outdoor gear. It's definitely worth a look, and for more than 15 minutes before closing time on your last day.

360 Volt sell really cool, retro industrial lamps. It's a tiny shop in the cellar of one of the townhouses by the canal, but a fascinating place to browse.

I'd suggest checking out the Upstairs Pannenkoeken on Grimburgwal for pancakes. They're opposite Nesoptiek, who're a very cool opticians.

Burgermeester are also good for, well, burgers.

Lastly, go and catch a movie at the Pathé Tuschinski on Reguliersbreestraat. It's a fantastic Art Deco cinema. English language flicks are subtitled in Dutch, rather than dubbed, so you shouldn't have any problems.

There's a shop called Black and Blue but it's not in Amsterdam. But maybe you can get on the train if you are so inclined.

Black and Blue is in Nijmegen, which is about an hour and a half by train from Amsterdam.

If you're willing to head out of town, Atelier de l'Armée are in 's-Hertogenbosch. They sell bags made from recycled and deadstock materials.

Oh, and I forgot Vlaams Friteshuis Vleminckx on Voetboogstraat. They make the best fries in Amsterdam.

Speaking of food, the Bistro Berlage on the southern end of the Beurs van Berlage used to be pretty good. And if you go to the north end of the building, there's the Tony's Chocolonely Super Store for all your chocolate needs.

I spent a few hours in a coffehouse in Amsterdam one rainy afternoon a few years ago and then passed by the cinema where Berlin: Alexanderplatz was showing. Being that it's one of my all-time favorite movies I bought a ticket and sat down just as the film was starting. It's in German, of course, but at the time I hadn't considered that the subtitles would be in Dutch, neither of which I speak. In the state I was in, I really enjoyed it!
Oh and the Pannenkoeken is heaven. Just the smell will transport you.
