Help with belstaff jacket id

Hi all,
I just bought a belstaff jacket from ebay and it is advertised as the trialmaster. Upon closer inspection it doesnt really look like the typical trialmaster/tourist trophy. Esp the shoulder stitching. i've always
seen trialmasters and roadmasters with "raglan" style sleeves.

Can anyone help me id the model? Could it be a fake? Im less inclined to think its a fake as the buttons actually have belstaff inscribed on them. But then again i have never owned a belstaff jacket. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not an expert on Belstaffs .... but this is identical to the "modern" trialmaster in the Belstaff Outlet Store at Bicester Village ( was there on Sat looking at a "Knockhill" Leather jacket which turned out to be a bit of a waste of time). I tried on a few wax cottons and all had the branded zips. They are REALLY small made - I need an XL

The trouble is that Belstaff styles have increased exponentially over the last few years, so unless it's a classic style it's difficult to identify accurately. It's broadly similar to the heavy waxed cotton Che Guevara I had, which was a classic 50s style Trialmaster variant, but there are enough subtle differences to make it completely different to the trained eye.

As Plumbline says, it's probably a modern take on the Trialmaster that might only have lasted one season. I gather there are so many good Belstaff knock-offs on Ebay now that it's quite risky unless you know exactly what you're doing.

The Trophy nor the Trailmaster ever have raglan sleeves, they do both normally have either a stitched patch over the top of the shoulder or leading down from the neck to the shoulder which I guess might look like that.

As others have said they've been putting out lots of variants on their fashion line for the past few years, looking at the tags and label I'd guess that this jacket is one from around two to four years ago. No expert but have a couple of these and have seen a few more.

I've seen a few fakes too and they will look identical to the real jackets generally but you can normal tell more by the feel of how well put together the jacket is and the fit (The fakes I've seen look the part but still feel cheaply made).

The main differences I can see compared to the Ebay photo I still have of my Che Guevara are: material looks thinner; bellows pockets look shallower; left chest pocket not offset as much; zip under right chest pocket flap; different inside neck label; no oval shoulder patches; no elbow patches; no small Union Jack flag under left chest pocket.

Of course, none of that means it's a fake, possibly just a streetwear variant along the lines of the Roadmaster, which it actually looks more like than the Trialmaster.

this one looks like the J Crew version, i had one as well, with the zipper under the right chest flap. in my opinion, the ONLY living Trialmaster jacket is the pure motorcycle line of Tourist Trophy, can be bought cheap at british motorcycle gear.
