Hello, I am trying to find the name of a movie that my mother watched many years ago, but so far have come up with no results. The only thing I really know about it is some of the plot line. The story is based around a special breeding bull that is brought over from England to possibly Texas (she is uncertain about that location) to breed with another special female cow?, so that they can create a new line of cattle for eating purposes. She thought possibly the word Vindicator had something to do with it, perhaps the name of the bull or something. She would really like to know the name of the film so that we might try to find it to watch again. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciate, as I have no idea where else to look for advice. Thank you for taking the time to read this rather long post.
God bless,
Sarah

Oh, sure. That would be when they bred Herefords to Longhorns. The Longhorns were super rugged, which was great for the 1,000 mile long cattle drives pictured in old western movies. But by the time the cattle had walked that distance they were thin and tough as leather, probably tougher. Not very palatable. The Herefords were heavy beefy animals that helped produce better tasting and much more tender meat. This coincided with the introduction of the railraods, making the long cattle drives obsolete.
Jimmy Stewart and Maureen O'Hara! Gotta be a great movie!

I've never seen Jimmy Stewart in a bad movie. I've seen him in a few films that ought to be bad, but then they had Jimmy Stewart in them.
