Help me decide on a new jacket. Two different Y2 models

Trying to decide between the two. I really like this single rider type to replace a Aero half belt that was just a bit too short.

At the same time this suede trucker jacket is fantastic.

I am new to Y2 leathers so any information or opinions on them is appreciated. I loved the thick liner in my Aero and wonder if the wool plaid inside the zip jacket would be of similar quality.

I know this is so subjective but I like hearing opinions. I love the action back on the zip jacket too. Is the Y2 horsehide stiff and waxy like CXL horse? Eek so hard to decide.

They're both right around 800 USD. Is this a good/bad deal?

For 800 dollars the horsehide jacket is the better deal because its MSRP was higher than the reverse suede jacket. But the reverse suede jacket is easier to wear than the stiffer horsehide jacket for sure.

Y'2 wool plaid lining is comparable to Strome weight Lochcarron tartan, but fluffier feeling.

Y'2 single rider runs small so you'd have to go at least one up in sizing for the horsehide jacket. The trucker sizing is comparable to others on the market so just go with your normal size.

This is what I was looking for. Thank you. I have a ~36" chest and 17" shoulder. 5'8" 135 pounds.

The measurements of the horsehide jacket say 50cm P2P (19.7") I would like a nice trim fit. Do you think this will be too small? I have other jackets that are around 20.5" P2P that have a bit of wiggle room and enough for layering. I'm not necessarily looking to layer with this one.

Two points:

1) cast the back seam into the fire

2) you can proxy y2 for much less than 800

I'm unfamiliar with proxy sites... Care to elaborate or recommend some sites where I might look? I love the back of the jacket. The biswing folds and the buckles are exquisite.

Unless it's from china now...

Plan for about 35-50 for shipping. At least for me on the west coast. It usually arrives in just a day or two with UPS or fedex.
