It's not gonna change the way I feel about them. I mean look how funky fantastic they are (even better once recovered)! I thought they at least looked 50s because of the metalness of 'em. But it would be nice to know. Any idea the age of these babies?

A couple of ladies in the Powder Room suggested late 60s to 70s.

Your thoughts?

Ok, first go put on your prettiest dress and get dolled up.

I will pick you and the chairs up at 8 and we can all go out for dinner and a movie..

(thank you...I'm here all week, don't forget to tip your waitresses...)

Id say your chair dates from the '60s. I didnt major in dating chairs of this young age....but its my guess. :)

This is the fabric my two 1950s couches are be reupholstered in. There should be plenty left over and I thought I'd do the chairs to match.

It's difficult to date tubular steel chairs like that. Really simple constructions like that has been around since the 20s, like kabuto said, and are difficoult to pinpoint to an area. They are so simple, there are little to go on!

Still, based on the proportions, (the height of the back versus the depht and width of the seat,) and the general "feel", I would say 70s. But I really don't know for sure.

Great chairs anyway!

My first thought was 50's, but the backs look a little more sophisticated than the "space age moderne" look of the late 50's, which was more minimalist. I'd go with others in guessing late 60's / early 70's.
