Help Identify this Hat

Help dating it, familiarity with the brand, etc.

That is a sombrero cordobés - cordobese hat, the traditional Andalousian headgear. It is also known as "Andalousian hat", in fact, but that would be incorrect, and by the descriptive name of "Wide brimmed hat".

Nowadays it is not generally seen outside of traditional festivities, some bullfighting disciplines, and flamenco dance and music.

It is made out of felt and of straw. Some shape varieties do exist, Sevillano (regular crown, wider brim), Cordobés proper (higher crown, regular brim), Cañero (higher, tapered crown, wider brim), and Onubense or Jerezano (lower crown, wider brim).

Yours seems, judging from the higher, straight sided crown, and moderate brim, to be a Cordobés style.

I can not help with dating, etc, but it certainly looks vintagey.

I can't speak to the age of the hat, but I can tell you that the proper beverage to consume with it is a fine sherry. The town from which the hat comes, Jerez, gives sherry its name. Originally, the town name was spelled Xeres. The "X" was pronounced "sh."
