Hello friends, three years ago i bought this nice jacket(new) at stock shop in our city in Ukraine. Now I wonder what type of leather it's made of. What does "genuine hot quarter" mean? Its not too light, not too heavy. Water soaks in almost immidiately. Jacket has very nice leather smell. Also it would be nice if someone tell me anything about manufacturer of this jacket - i didn't find anything about it on the internet. I am very happy with this jacket and I would like to buy another similar to this one. Because of this jacket I'm now fan of this type of A-2/G-1 jackets. Thanks.
P.s. the patch on the sleeve - I sewed it later, it wasn't on jacket when i was buying it.

What an odd label! Seems a little macabre. My guess is some kind of sarcastic tribute.
.
As i understand it's some kind of hybrid of A2/G-1 jacket. I hope it's really made in America by Americans:D. San Reno ? Is there such city in USA?

Looks like some non descript fashion leather most likely cow. The label has all the hallmarks of classic Chinglish likely generated from a primitive computer translator program. I would say almost certainly of Chinese manufacture IMO. Where else can one find delicacies like fried crap(crab), fumigated(steamed) chicken or lotus f***s(?) the fish on an English menu?

Thanks for answer. I personnally doubt its chinese origin, too good quality of the jacket and threadings, dont pay much attention to photos i posted - they dont show exact picture. I wish chinese could make such jackets. I think, as nick123 mentioned before, its some kind of sarcastic tribute, made in some European country. Maybe label is chinese, i dont know. If chinese would made this jacket there would be at least a couple of thousands of them more elsewhere. On the internet i saw this jacket only once - a year ago on some kind of trading site in England, someone was selling it, dont remember the price.

Chinese quality is variable. It's all a matter of cost. In the wholesale garment district of Guangzhou one can see thousands of different styles on offer from hundreds of suppliers. Commercial buyers come from all over the world and can order any amount from a dozen jackets to thousands for their shops.

Maybe you are right. I still doubt its chinese. The leather is veg tanned i'm sure. Threadings are too good to be chinese, zipper etc. Overall quality, fit. I have had other leather jackets ( made in Turkey) - this one is much more better in all aspects. Certainly i also have ECCO desert boots, made in China, and their quality is very high, but its another case, like iphone. if this jacket is chinese - i from now will by only from China :p

Don't forget that RRL has many of their stuff made in China, even their super pricey repros and those are some grade A jackets.

I also think it's something fakey and that doesn't automatically implies low quality. It looks like a well made jacket but it's obvious they've tried to copy the tags of vintage jackets without having the slightest understanding of what any of it means. I'm really curious how they got from Front Quarter Horse Hide to Hot Quarter Union Made.

What brand is the zipper?

There is some French brand called Segura, they make or used to make some motorcycle jackets. I dont know, maybe they made this jacket. Segura or Segura 70. And on the label i cant understand what is written either segura 10 or segura 70. :) detective story
