Help finding a hat

Hey

Back when I was a child (and even before I was born), my dad often wore a variety of hats, be they fedoras, berets, straw hats (in the summer) or anything in between. In the '90s my dad became such a fan of hats that we have my sister remarking on a home video at her Sweet Sixteen (in 1996) "Thank you, Dad, for not wearing a hat." to laughs:

But of those hats, there were he liked the most--these:

He no longer wears hats as not only has he lost all of his hats, but he since hasn't found any that suit his fancy nor any like that particular one, so I was wondering if someone could help me find a hat very similar to the ones above. I'd like to surprise him for his birthday with one.

I have heard many, many wonderful things about Art Fawcett, and his custom-made creations from Vintage Silhouettes. If I am not mistaken, you can send him the pictures, and he can recreate them. Just take a look at the 'Art Fawcett Hall of Fame' thread. They run around $305 each. Or you could look on the quintessential eBay, and cross your fingers that something turns up. Some times it is helpful, others, it is infuriating. Any vintage hat is better than a stock hat. Sadly, Borsalino and Stetson (among a few others) are just not the same as back then. Not saying, of course, that they still don't make a fine fedora. If you have the time, means, and opportunity, however, an Art, or any other custom, is highly recommended. ...Hey guys, did I get everything right?

The first one looks like a Tilley T2 or something similar. Was it canvas? Unless it's a Filson Tin Cloth Packer Hat?

The second one looks like a Tilley T5, but has a band I don't recognize.
