Green dresses get me in a tizzy! I've been on the lookout for a deep emerald dress for a loooong time - Miss 1940's, the color on that dress is stunning.

I found this dress on eBay (did NOT buy it, but I wish I had an excuse to) and always thought that it would look great in a dark green colour. Beautiful for a wedding dress, but I think with shorter sleeves and a modified/lower neckline it would be very va-va-voom.

Love this dress...the details on the back are great! even with the high neckline, it looks like it is curve conscious enough to still have a lot of 'voom:D

Here's the dress I made for the Queen Mary this year--unironed, alas! It's a bias cut dress from a 1940 pattern. It wouldn't fit on the dress form I actually use so I've had to photograph it on one that is much too small, but hopefully you can get an idea of how it looks. I took hardly any photos at the event, which is too bad, but I have my memories.
