Hello all, I would like to introduce my new Manufacturing company:
Headwind Mfg co.
http://www.headwindmfg.com
Specializing in early American aviation jackets and products. A sale page is also planned with the opportunity for people to list vintage flight jackets for sale.

Our two main products at this time are the first flight jackets issued by the US Navy and the USAAF:

USAAF Type A-1 Jacket - Detailed reproduction of the Gordon & Ferguson 31-800P contract in Capeskin (Circa 1920's - 1930's)

USN 37J1 (Circa 1920's-1930's) In Capeskin or Goatskin (Shown)

Best Regards,
Jay

Nice. Don't think I've seen anyone producing the second one before - I like the collar. Very reasonable prices too. Are you able to deal with overseas orders?

This is some great work - can we see some fit pics? Nice to see a range of A1 options. Is goatskin a possibility for both models or just the one?

Thanks! These jackets are made to order so yes we can do an A-1 in the goat. There are other shades of Capeskin as well that are available. The fit pics and mannequin pics are on the way.

Jay

Nice looking bits of smutter, the best of luck with the business. Seeing an early Navy jacket in your line up is refreshing.

Those jackets are absolutely gorgeous.

More details on the webpage regarding,
hides, dye methods, etc. would be most
welcomed.

Hi all, the Headwind Sale Page is up and running!! This is a free marketplace for sellers to post vintage flight jackets and gear. There are no fees and the buyers will be referred to the sellers directly. I will not be handling the sales for the items on the page, that will be up to the sellers / buyers. All I need to list your items are photos, a description, a price, and your contact info for inquiries and offers.

Right now we have 2 USN M-422 jackets listed. Check them out:
